Whether you like this day or not, these are two lists of films you can watch in this special (or not) friday.

AntiV-Day

La piel que habito

In honor of his late wife who died in a car accident, scientist, Dr. Robert Ledgard, is trying to synthesize the perfect skin which can withstand burns or any other kind of damage. As he gets closer to perfecting this skin on his flawless patient, the scientific community starts growing skeptical and his past is revealed. This film shows how powerful Almodóvar can be. It surprises his audience with an amazing storyline while discomforting them, it gave me goosebumps. Surreal, genius, amazing, mind blowing. Almodóvar is brilliant, once again.

We Need to Talk About Kevin

Eve early realized that Kevin was not a normal boy. Since the constant crying of the baby (only when he was with her) to shooting an arrow against the window of the room where she was. It's a film that shows us the birth and growth of a psychopath from a point of view never before represented in cinema. The point of view of a mother. Its atmosphere, colors, photography, strange soundtrack, well, almost everything amazed me and showed me another side of cinema.

The Hunt

A simple teacher, Lucas, is wrongly accused of sexually misconduct with a young child and his community turn against him and, basically, hunt him. Besides the brilliant acting of adults and children, although this is a simple story it's perfectly executed and written. We found ourselves in a deep meditation about our society, it's a bit emotionally draining. It mixes violence and innocence in such a sublime way.

V-Day

Before Sunset

Jesse, from the US, and Celine, a Frenchwoman, acquainted nine years ago on the train from Budapest to Vienna, meet again when Jesse arrives in Paris for a reading of his new book. As they have only a few hours until his plane leaves, they stroll through Paris, talking about their experiences, views and whether they still love each other, although Jesse is already married with a kid. Great performances, with interesting conversations. It has a peculiar atmosphere that makes it a perfect sequel.

Like Crazy

A British college student and an American student fall in love with each other and when she has to go back home they have to make some choices about their lives. It's an independent film so it has something fresh about although the scrip is not exactly innovative. You will smile and laugh bit also feel the despair of the characters.

Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulain

Amélie is a shy waitress in a Montmartre café. After returning a long-lost childhood treasure to a former occupant of her apartment, and seeing the effect it has on him, she decides to set out on a mission to make others happy and in the meantime pursues a quirky guy who collects discarded photo booth pictures
A pleasant and beautiful film to watch with cute details everywhere. It has a beautiful cinematography and an intriguing and layered storyline.
